I’m Roger, a blue-collar kid from Elyria, Ohio, who mixed grit with a bit of polish to become a the founder of Balser Wealth—championing underdogs and redefining success. I’m on a mission to make wealth-building simple, accessible, and engaging.
Life didn’t make it easy. By 20, my dad left, and two years later, my family faced foreclosure. My brother and I worked every job we could find just to survive. Those struggles forged the drive and discipline that shaped my future.
I went back to college, played championship football, and discovered my passion for finance. That grit carried me forward and taught me the importance of balance—attending all my kids’ events, leading a $5.6M aquatics center project, founding a summer swim team, and sailing competitively.
Today, I work from home, coffee in hand, with my wife and pets by my side, sharing practical lessons on money and investing across platforms. I live simply in Avon, Ohio, proving that perseverance—and a little rebellious spirit—can turn even the toughest beginnings into a life you love.
